• Medal was instituted on 27 September 1979.
• Medal is awarded to members of the Police Force who have completed eighteen years’ continuous service.
• A clasp may be awarded to the recipient of the medal on the completion of twenty-five years’ continuous service and thirty years’ continuous service respectively.
