Medal was instituted in 2007.
Medal was awarded to employees of the Ministry of State Security of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, servicemen and employees of military units of the Ministry of State Security for performance in operational and service activities, exemplary military discipline, initiative and perseverance in strengthening the security of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, who have served at the Ministry of State Security at least five years.
