Order instituted by decree N° 60/205 of 28 July 1960.
Order awarded for merits in the administrative, political, economic, social and cultural fields and for courage and devotion in defending of national interests.
Order have V classes.
In the 1969 the flag of the country was changed, so there is two types of order badge .
